Edward C. Taylor, Ph.D.
Edward C. Taylor, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist has provided clinical and educational services for children, adolescents and their families in Northeast Florida since 1984. Since receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Florida, he has held faculty appointments at the University of Kansas School of Medicine- Wichita, and the University of Florida College of Medicine, Shands- Jacksonville. Dr. Taylor serves as Treasurer of the Florida Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and Member-at-Large on the international board of IDA.
Coreene Dorne
Corey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. She earned her Master in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. Before joining The Learning Specialists in 2003, she taught fifth and sixth grades in New Jersey. She served as an adjunct professor at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey where she instructed college students in basic skills mathematics. She holds a lifetime teaching certificate for grades K-8.
Corey has trained in a wide variety of instructional models during her 30+ years as an educator: The Lindamood – Bell LiPS and Seeing Stars Programs, The Wilson Reading System, Read Naturally, Rebecca Sitton Spelling Program, Making Math Real, Math Trailblazers (TIMS), Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, The Writing Process, Instructional Theory into Practice (ITIP), Learning Styles/Discipline, and Stevens Institute Internet Application Program.
As the director of the Test Prep Program, Corey develops the programs for a wide variety of tests including ACT, SAT, PSAT, ISEE, ASVAB, GRE, and GED. She creates each student’s individualized plan and oversees the implementation of all programs.
